For my March 5th segment on Studio 5 I was given the challenge to find inspiration outside of the craftstore.  One of the places I found was the office supply store.  This has ALWAYS been a favorite of mine.  There are thousands of trinkets that you can use to embellish your pages, from staples, brads, clips, and tags.  However, this time I decided to focus on mediums.  My top three favorite mediums are Avery's full sheet clear labels, Avery's printable fabric, and Hp clear transparencies.  I LOVE the full sheet clear  labels.  They are fabulous for making your own custom stickers and clear embellishments.  I have provided a free download on the project page with fun generic words that always come in handy on any scrapbook page. Next, I selected Avery's printable fabric.  I'll be honest . . usually I just use iron-on paper (another favorite of mine from Avery . . . but I will save it for another day).  However, the printable fabric worked great and it was perfect for fabric page embellishments.  I also included a download for these as well.  Printing photos on the fabric it a fun way to give your pages an EXTRA POP!  Last, but not least, I selected  HP clear transparency paper.  "Clear" anything is HOT in scrapbooking right now.  Especially overlays.  However, they can be expensive.  With transparencies, you can design and print your very own.  Not only is it less expensive . . . it is customized for your project.  I created some fun 4X6 overlays that you can dowload on the project page as well.  If you have any questions, please let me know! kmckaydesigns.com

Kristine's passion for paper crafting began when she was a little girl growing up in Blackfoot, Idaho. As a child she remembers designing stationary sets and trying to sell them to the other neighborhood children. Her love of paper and design drew her into the scrapbooking industry.  She has worked with companies such as DCWV, All My Memories, Lasting Impressions, Three Bugs in a Rug, and We are Memory Keepers. She has developed products for both QVC and the Home Shopping Network and also had her work featured in various publications and idea books. Kristine believes that scrapbooking is about more than simply placing a sticker on your child's soccer photo. It is a form of artist expression, using paper as the medium and memories as the inspiration. She strives to bring practical products and ideas to the industry that save both time and money. Currently she is a featured expert on crazibeautiful.com, a website that celebrates the lives and talents of women and you can also see her several times month as a contributor on KSL studio Five.  She resides in Spanish Fork, Utah with her husband Dan of 15 years and their three children Tanner, Kelsey, and Cameron.
